June News Briefs
- On June 23rd at 6pm Supervisor Alison Jolicoeur will host another meeting at Town Hall of the re-constituted Commission of Lakes. She has invited the environmental organization Riverkeeper to present initial findings from its yearlong study of the impact of septic and sewers on wastewater management in the Peekskill Hollow Brook watershed. As Putnam Valley's lakes are in that watershed and feed into the drinking water supply of the City of Peekskill, Riverkeeper's data and analysis will help inform future policy proposals.
- At 6:30pm on June 25th, Camp Combe is scheduled to appear before the Zoning Board of Appeals seeking variances to support its expansion plans at its Peekskill Hollow Road location. At this public hearing, local residents will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the proposed plans and give comments.
- Tuesday is Primary Day for registered Democrats. Polls are open from 6am to 9pm. Today, until 5pm, is the last day for early voting.
