July 5th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm - Independence Day celebration at Town Park (156 Oscawana Lake Rd.). Food trucks, corn hole tournament, live band at 7:30pm, fireworks at dusk

July 13th at 2pm - Annual Backyard Chicken Summit at the Putnam Valley Grange, 128 Mill Street. Everything you ever wanted to know about chickens, in conversation with experienced poultry-raisers, novices and friends

July 19th at 7pm - The Peekskill Riots, Episode Two of a five-part documentary series by Jon Scott Bennett, shown at Tompkins Corners Cultural Center. There will be a Q&A with Bennett following the film. Tickets, for $10, can be purchased at the door or in advance by clicking here

July 26th from 7pm to 9pm - Caribbean Vibe, a steel drum and reggae band performing at Town Park/Johnson Field (156 Oscawana Lake Rd.)

July 27th from 6pm to 8pm - The Ray Blue Quartet, a jazz and blues group performing outdoors (weather permitting) at Tompkins Corners Cultural Center. Tickets for $25 can be purchased here
